Social Media Fest Takeaways

Well! Who else attended Sams’ (aka TweetingGoddess) Social Media Fest last Wednesday 20th November in The Talbot Hotel Wexford Town?

What a great day it was. I loved the atmosphere and meeting up with wonderful people whom I chat with online is always fun. We learnt about so many great tools to help save time and create content, the ones that caught my interest in particular include:

ChatGPT
During the research preview, usage of ChatGPT is free.

AI Persona Creation with ChatGPT

Every Marketeer knows the importance of building customer personas so I found Louise McDonnells’ talk really interesting, especially when she spoke about how one can use ChatGPt to build an AI generated customer persona and THEN ask ChatGPT to also create Ad text or CTAs (Call To Actions) that would entice this persona.

Louise highlighted that the use of AI is particularly good for INSPIRING us – so don’t copy and paste, instead use it to generate and refine your own ideas.

Brilliant! One I will definitely be trying out for my clients.

Linktree V Landing page

Ashleigh Watson of Copper Square had lot’s of Instagram tips including her advice to replace linktree on your Instagram bio with a dedicated landing page on your website featuring these links instead, thus utilising that (approved link from Insta)  traffic.

Reciprocal Urls are so important for SEO so this is a nice tip to get!

Anita Wong is a YouTube Strategy expert, Social Media Video Consultant, and Founder of the Social Video Club Community.

Anita Wong had a multitude of interesting tips including the use of Syllaby – an AI tool for those of us who don’t want to put our faces on video – well, if you’re shy like me you will understand the attraction of this – I had a quick look at it – there is no free version, but I plan to try it out over the coming months.

“Turn any Idea into Faceless Videos”

Social media-ready videos with no experience needed! Find viral topics and Syllaby creates a video with script, visuals, subtitles, and your own AI voice!
syllaby.io starts at $25/Month

Time To Don Your CapCut

I have heard a number of people mention CapCut over the past few months so it had already caught my interest and Anita is a fan!

A bit about CapCut:

CapCut is a: “Free all-in-one video editor for everyone to create anything anywhere
Flexible editing, magical AI tools, team collaboration, and stock assets. Make video creation like never before”

It offers languages, filters, fonts, effects, auto reframing, select and cutout unwanted objects, words, pauses, make animation more smooth and precise, voice styles for characters!

Having worked with Flash and Filmora in the past and of course Canva, I am looking forward to trying out CapCut.

AI Video Prompt Ideas from Anita Wong

Anita gave an example of AI video promts that one can input to ChatGPT (for eg).

Tell it what you want the end result to be for eg
create a pdf of a series of  video content suggestions for 60 second videos on a weekly basis for two months that will convert an audience from cold to warm based around the subject of XYZ”

The result will inspire your video content creation!

Tools for Video Keywords

Anita also shared a list of AI tools for video keywords. She mentioned tips like reinputting the resulting suggestions and refining them to get even more steps or ideas.

She also referenced zoom tools to enhance your video, tripods and teleprompters and – an important one – to download the SRT or TXT file from your video so you can upload it to ChatGPt to repurpose it into a blog / newsletter etc.

One of her final references was repurpose.io

“Create once, publish everywhere.
Quickly build your omnipresence by repurposing your content directly from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Zoom, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Audio Podcast into unlimited pieces of content optimized for each platform.” Discover more at Repurpose.io

SO! Lot’s to be getting on with.

In the meantime make sure to book your Early Bird Tickets for next years’ Social Media Fest!

It’s being held in Dublin – right by the airport so you can fly in for the day! 🙂
